The data storage units (EMC, Netapp, etc.) are used as the enterprise data storage infrastructure and 2/4 GB SAN architecture as the communication infrastructure. The SAN architecture is provided over redundant SAN Switches.

Independent LUN (Logical Units) are created in data storage infrastructure and shared to multiple client and server structures by providing capacity and access authorization. Data storage and SAN management softwares are implemented for dynamic management and determining which client could have access to which LUN over which server through which SAN traffic.

Our current data storage structures are designed in a shared structure with high Cache capacity and well equipped with RAID-1 (Mirror), RAID-5, RAID-6 and Hot-Spare security spread over many Discs. All client servers make use of this high-speed data storage system spread over many physical Discs, and with Cache. By analyzing access statistics to the Disc System, LUN structure and performance criteria are managed dynamically through data storage management software. Following services are provided within this context:

SAN configuration:

• Fixing and implementing of HBA that are convenient for systems that will have access to data storage infrastructure, installing drivers with appropriate set up and connecting these cards to SAN Switches.
• Communicating the customer on required improvements or new needs in SAN Switch usage
• Specifying SAN definitions required for access to data storage infrastructure
• Specifying security definitions for different systems could access only to related domains
• Running connection tests
• Applying modifications on SAN configuration in accordance with requirements that may arise during operation Hard disk configuration:
• Providing disc space in data storage infrastructure for systems in level and size as determined
• Analyzing of the current data storage configuration and providing consulting services to customer on planning and development of capacity
• Realizing configuration modifications on data storage unit for probable development and re-arrangement requirements in current disc structure
• Data copying in distant centers through interoperability provided by data storage systems and establishing of all matchings as required in disaster recovery projects, preparing of relevant disc spaces and realizing necessary configuration modifications

Monitoring Hard Disk load and performance:

• Periodic monitoring of load spread and performance in data storage areas and data-flow routes by using performance monitoring software (customer licensed)
• Reporting to customer on required improvements
• Running configuration changes in accordance with joint decisions

Partner Relationship Management (PRM):

KoçSistem will manage relations in all matters relating to maintenance and management of data storage systems (EMC, Netapp, etc.) The manufacturing firm and KoçSistem have got a “back-to-back” business partnership agreement for technical support.
