KoçSistem built an AI-powered expense management platform for Entek Elektrik Üretimi A.Ş. that cut manual receipt processing time from minutes to seconds — powered by Claude.

Expense management is often an overlooked part of corporate operations, yet it has a direct impact on employee productivity. At Entek Elektrik Üretimi A.Ş., employees manually entered data from every business trip and day-to-day receipt into the company's expense system — typing in the date, amount, VAT rate, and expense account code for each document by hand. The process wasn't just time-consuming; it also left room for human error, particularly when it came to selecting the correct expense account.

KoçSistem developed a platform that integrates directly with Entek's existing SAP Fiori expense screen. Employees now simply photograph their receipts and invoices and upload them; the platform uses Claude, Anthropic's AI model, to automatically read the document and extract the data into a structured format.
The system does more than just read receipts — it also learns from Entek's historical expense records to suggest the most likely expense account for each entry, removing the guesswork employees previously faced when categorizing their spending.

The platform is now actively used by 100 of Entek's roughly 400 employees (25% adoption) and processes an estimated 500 to 1,000 receipts and invoices per month.
The most striking result is the time saved: what used to take an average of 10 minutes per receipt now takes about 10 seconds — a 98% reduction in processing time. At current volume, that translates to more than 120 hours of employee time saved every month.

This project is a clear example of how AI can deliver real value not just in large-scale transformation initiatives, but in the everyday, repetitive tasks that quietly consume employee time.
